Yuyu is a Berlin-based appropriating artist and photographer deconstructing Western Cultural Heritage to discuss representation. 

Yuyu's works challenge conventional definitions of art, offering alternate readings of history while critiquing elitist attitudes towards art.

YuYu’s “The Origin of The Cosmos” builds upon Peter Paul Reubens’s 1637 painting. Inspired by the planet of the Night Realm and its mystical properties, this work explores the Greco-Roman myth of the origin of the Milky Way though a contemporary angle. YuYu’s proud model, Line, invades the painting to take her position as a powerful link between the mortal and the divine.
